Directions to the Farm

Visitors are welcome by appointment only, please.

From Ithaca:

Take Route 13 north to Dryden.  At the stop light in Dryden, go straight onto Route 392.  Stay on Route 392 for about 12 miles (about halfway along, you’ll come into Virgil, and you’ll have to turn right at the stop sign in Virgil in order to stay on Route 392), until you come to a "T "at Route 11.  Turn left (north) onto Route 11 and travel about 3 miles.  Look for the sign that says “Hoxie Gorge Creek.”  Turn right on that road (it’s actually Hoxie Gorge Rd.).  You’ll go under the overpass for I-81, then you’ll come to a Y.  Stay right at the Y – this will put you on the Hoxie Gorge – Freetown Rd.  Travel about 3 miles – the road will take a sharp turn to the left and you’ll crest a hill.  At the top of the hill, look for the yellow mailbox on the left that says “Northland Sheep Dairy.”  We live in the pink (!) strawbale house.

From the South:

From I-81 northbound: take Exit 9 "Marathon." At bottom of the exit
ramp go straight and just before getting back on I-81 turn right on
Galatia St. Travel 5 ½ miles to Hoxie Gorge Road (Freetown Highway
Department building is on your left), and turn left. Farm is ¼ mile up
the road at the crest of the hill on your right. Turn at the yellow
mailbox.

From the North:

From I-81 southbound: take Exit 10 "McGraw." At bottom of the exit
ramp turn left on Route 11. Travel 3 miles to sign marked "Hoxie Gorge
Creek." Turn left there onto Hoxie Gorge Rd. Stay right at fork in the
road and proceed up the hill about 3 ½ miles. Road will eventually veer
sharply left. After that you will crest a hill. Farm is on the left at
the top of the hill. Turn at the yellow mailbox.
